Using lj again

So it has been a while, but I decided that I wanted to start using Live Journal again. Life just got too busy in the past few months. It was one of the big reasons I stopped posting, no time. But unfortunately it turned out I did not have a lot of time for many things. It finally took it's toll though. I had to no time to do anything.

I had a conversation with my boss and said that it had to stop. I told them they needed to do something about the fact that I was basically working around the clock. A month later they reorged the entire division and ended up as the Manager of Enterprise Collaboration Services. Not sure how that happened. It's weird being a manager. Have you ever seen that Disney cartoon called Recess? That is what it is like being a manger, being a kid on a playground in elementary school. At times it is hard to act so childish, but I am learning.

The rest of life is going ok. eowyn42 and I are doing good. Things have been really great recently. At least I think so. I hope she agrees with me. I have really enjoyed the past few months. Not sure why but I feel like we have been closer and talking more recently. Regardless of what it is, its been great. I have so much fun hanging out and just being silly with her.

Well it is late now and I have an early meeting tomorrow (oh the joy of being management). More later, I hope.

Well I am officially paying for being bad on Monday and ditching work for Seaworld. I have been here for 12 hours already and have about another 5-6 to go probably. The stupid new ldap servers have just been a pain in the ass. I had to start over from scracth again this morning (for those of you counting this is like the 8th time I have rebuilt the entire infrastructure). This time it looks like it will stick though. Everything is working as it should. Granted I still have a list of 9 things I still have to do, that I have never gotten to before since we never got that far before.

Enough about work, this weekend is the Metallica concert and bigevil, ardanach and I are going. It should be a blast. My other friend just got back from his 6 weeks tour with the band and says the show rocks. Hopefully he can work some magic and get us back stage or something, but I doubt it and he says it does not look good. Oh well.

Well back to work I go, looks like the latest set of imports are done, only 3 more to go. Joy.

Now I am debating if I should spent $100 to get 3 of his works signed. They are, the complete Death: The High Cost of Living set (yes orignial prints), 1st Ed. Hard cover "The Dream Hunters" and the final issue of Sandman (#75). What do you think? Sadly the site I found does not have the one thing I really want which is Sandman #19 (the only comic to ever win a World Fantasy Award) signed by him.

On another note, thinking about changing my lj user name, I picked cburgess because I was feeling uncreative at the time. Now I am feeling more creative. Be on the look out for a possible change soon.

Well roommates out of the showers now. Need to go and get to work.

Let just say I am tired, and very sore. Still it was worth the trip for sure. Perhaps more later, for now bed.

OK now I am annoyed. It does not convert the spaces properly so I can't indent the start of my paragraph. Going to need to figure that one out. Anyone know how to do that? Hmm I wonder if this "Don't auto-format" thing will do it.

Test (this should be indented).

Nope that did not work, in fact now there are no line breaks.
Well here it is, my first Live Journal entry. Spent the past few hours customizing it. I decided upon the "Disjointed" style for everything and the "White on Black w/ dark grays" theme. I am not completely happy with either but they will do for now. I will probably tweak the colors of the next few weeks. As for the style, I like it but wish it had a few other things, like a title bar across the top with the journal title etc. Sadly you have to be a paying member of Live Journal to modify/create your own style. I will see how things go and how into the whole Live Journal thing I am before I pay.
Speaking of journal title, what should I title my journal? I picked "The Dreaming" for the journal title and "Other Dreamers" for the friends page because of my love for Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" comic book series. Not sure it really fits me though. What is everyones thought's on this matter?
Well I really should go do some work now since Anne and I are going to Seaworld tomorrow. Sadly I really don't want to (hence the procrastination with Live Journal). Let me know what you all think. Hmm guess I need to let "you all" know I now have a live journal.
